I’m aware the current CDC recommendations for isolation seem to be woefully inadequate, but im embarrassed to say… I don’t know why? Like, what evidence supports a quarantine period of 14 days, vs something else?

I’m studying up on viral shedding to try to see how long people remain contagious, but you are way more familiar with this material than me.

Viral shedding for covid is highly variable: People can be completely asymptomatic, presymptomatic, and varying levels and types of symptomatic. Asymptomatic people tend to shed less, but they're less likely to take precautions because of that, and they account for nearly half of total covid spread. Presymptomatic people add another 15-20% of spread, because they shed more as the infection grows into something symptomatic. The record for presymptomatic covid is about 8 days, but the average onset of symptoms tends to be 2 or 3 days after infection (and this varies from strain to strain). There's been some study into all of the kinds of spread, but not enough. What we do know is each variant has a different virulence: Some are easier and harder to spread in any type of case. The best we can say is that people are infectious on average 2 or 3 days before symptom onset and somewhere in the ballpark of 8 or 9 days after they feel them, and plenty of people have no clue they've been infected. It's why we need public masking, especially in critical areas like public transit and grocery/pharmacy/etc as well as test to exit policies for quarantine instead of a set number of days. Some people pass an infection very quickly, while in some extreme cases, others have been contagious for weeks or even months. It was either in Baltimore or Pittsburgh where wastewater technitians found a cryptic strain that one person was shedding from an active long-term infection for over a year. I think the person finally passed the infection earlier this year.

I guess what I'm saying is early on, two weeks was seen as enough time to quarantine a sick person to ensure they wouldn't spread the infection to others, but even that isn't enough in some cases. The policy we need is free testing so people can exit a quarantine after they've had a (or a couple) negative tests (Depending on the type of test) to assure they are no longer going to spread the virus to others. We also need a social safety net to care for these people while they stay out of contact with others, but our government would never do that. We can't even feed kids without charging them.

First Period

The arena was alive with energy as fans packed the stands, waving banners and chanting for their teams. On one side, the Pachy Pack’s supporters, clad in grey and white, stomped in unison, mimicking the rumble of an elephant herd. On the other side, a sea of shimmering gold erupted in deafening cheers as the Golden Army players took the ice. Their energy was matched by Maximus (@polo-drone-070) as a The Gold Knight and Leander (@leander-gold-88) as Dorado, who dashed along the sidelines in their mascot uniforms, rallying the crowd with every dramatic gesture.

Xavier (@polo-drone-039) stood at the edge of the Golden bench, leaning on his crutches. His presence, despite his injury, was a beacon of inspiration for his teammates. "Oi, lads! Let’s show these tuskers what we’re made of! Gold doesn’t break!" he yelled, his voice cutting through the noise.

The players lined up for the opening faceoff, Herc (#9, @goldenherc9) , the Golden Captain, standing tall at center ice, locking eyes with his counterpart Devlin Quinn (#8), Captain of the Pachy Pack. The puck dropped, and the game began.

The Pachy Pack’s Stampede

The Pachy Pack came out strong, immediately showcasing their physical dominance. Sloan Ivanov (#99), known as “The Crusher,” made his presence felt early with a devastating check on Brock (#46, @brockgold), sending him into the boards. Standing back up, pissed at the clearly missed penalty from the refs, Brock shook it off, but the message was clear: the Pack wasn’t here to play nice.

Viktor Makarov (#21) barreled down the ice, his massive frame plowing through Chevy (#63, @chevy-gold) and Briar (#50, @polo-drone-050) as if they weren’t even there. He launched a blistering slapshot, but Daniel (#16, @danielgold-16), the Gold Team’s goalie, made a brilliant glove save, locking down the puck and ending the pack’s play, drawing cheers from the crowd.

“Nice one, Danny!” Xavier hollered, pumping his fist from the sidelines.

The Gold Team struggled to find their footing against the Packy Pack’s relentless pressure. Magnus “The Tusk” Johansson (#12), the Pack’s goalie, was a wall, blocking early attempts from Max (#32) and Grayden (#84, @polo-drone-084). Despite Herc’s best efforts to rally the team, the Pachy Pack’s “Tusk Wall” defense seemed impenetrable.

The First Goal

Midway through the period, the Pachy Pack struck first. Devlin Quinn orchestrated a smooth play, threading a pass through Gold’s defense to Viktor, who was parked in front of the net. Viktor muscled past Brock and Chevy, tapping the puck past Daniel on the rebound.

The arena erupted in cheers from the Packy fans as the scoreboard lit up: 1–0 Pachy Pack.

Herc skated to the bench, his jaw tight but his eyes blazing with determination. “Keep your heads up, lads. We’re not letting them get another one,” he said, his voice steady.

The Turning Point

With under two minutes left in the period, Grayden found himself in a one-on-one battle with Sloan along the boards. Sloan, ever the enforcer, attempted to shove Grayden off the puck with his brute strength, but Grayden used his speed and agility to slip away. The crowd roared as Grayden fired a crisp pass to Herc in the neutral zone, sparking a counterattack.

Herc weaved through two Packy defenders with effortless precision, closing in on Magnus. He faked a slapshot, drawing Magnus out of position, and snapped the puck into the top corner of the net.

“YES, LAD!” Xavier shouted from the bench, his crutches clattering as he cheered.

The arena exploded with noise as Herc raised his stick, his teammates swarming him to celebrate. The scoreboard now read 1–1, and the Gold Team had found their spark.

End of the First Period

The buzzer sounded, signaling the end of the period. The Gold Team skated to the bench, their confidence renewed. Maximus waved his sword dramatically, whipping the Golden fans into a frenzy. Dorado, ever the showman, performed a mock joust with the Packy mascot, drawing laughter and cheers from the stands.

In the locker room, Herc addressed the team, his voice calm but commanding. “We’re in this, lads. Keep pushing. They might be big, but we’re smarter, faster, and hungrier. Let’s play our game.”

Grayden, still catching his breath, Thought of Sloan’s frustrated figure back on the ice and smirked to himself. This wasn’t over—not by a long shot. 

With the score tied at 1–1, the stage was set for an explosive second period.

Second Period: A Golden Turnaround

The Pachy Pack charged into the second period with the same physical dominance that defined the first. Sloan Ivanov (#99), the Pack’s resident “goon,” wasted no time throwing heavy checks and stirring chaos on the ice, making it clear he hadn’t forgotten his rivalry with Grayden (#84). Viktor Makarov (#21) continued to crash the net, relentlessly testing Daniel (#16) with shots from every angle.

Despite the Pachy Pack’s aggression, Herc (#9) kept his team focused, his booming voice cutting through the chaos. “Stay sharp, lads! Play smart, stick to the plan!” Herc barked, his commanding presence grounding the team and keeping their discipline intact even as Sloan tried to instigate further.

Packy Strikes First

Four minutes into the period, Devlin Quinn (#8) took advantage of a sloppy turnover by Darryl (#62, @darryl-gold). With a burst of speed, he deked around Briar (#50) and slid a backhand past Daniel, putting the Packy Pack up 2–1.

The Packy fans erupted as Devlin skated past the Gold bench with a smug grin. Sloan added to the chirping, sending a hard check into Grayden, who stumbled but refused to fall.

Brock Steps Up

The Golden Army refused to back down. Herc’s leadership shone as he pushed his players to dig deeper. "Come on, Brock! Show them what you’ve got!" he shouted, clapping his stick against the ice.

Brock (#46), filling in for the injured Xavier, rose to the challenge. Moments later, Alex (#64, @polo-drone-151) set him up with a clean pass at the blue line. Brock wound up and unleashed a blistering slapshot, the puck deflecting off a Packy defender and into the net. The crowd roared as Brock tied the game 2–2, throwing his fist into the air with a triumphant yell.

Grayden vs. Sloan

The turning point came with just over five minutes left in the period. Sloan, growing frustrated, delivered a reckless hit on Grayden, sending him sprawling to the ice. The referee’s whistle blew, and Sloan was sent to the penalty box for boarding. Herc skated over to Grayden, helping him to his feet. “You good, lad?” he asked. Grayden nodded, fire in his eyes. “Yeah, Cap. Let’s make ‘em pay for that.”

On the ensuing power play, Grayden showed why he was quickly becoming a key player. In a dazzling display of skill, he weaved through the Packy defense and fired a perfect pass to Herc, who slammed the puck past Magnus “The Tusk” Johansson (#12). Herc’s second goal of the night put Gold up 3–2, and the Golden fans went wild.

End of the Second Period

As the horn sounded, the Gold Team skated to the bench with renewed energy. Herc’s steady leadership and the team’s resilience had turned the tide. In the locker room, Herc kept the momentum alive.

“They’re cracking, lads. Keep up the pressure, and this is ours. Stay focused, play for each other, and let’s finish this strong!”

Grayden, still seething from his clash with Sloan, smirked. “We’re not letting them off easy.”

The Gold Team was ready to finish what they’d started.

Third Period: Unstoppable Gold

With the Pachy Pack growing desperate, the Gold Team capitalized on their frustration. Herc’s leadership was in full effect, directing plays and keeping his teammates calm under pressure.

“Stay tight, lads. Don’t let them back in,” Herc said, his voice clear and commanding.

Ezan Shines

Early in the period, Ezan (#1, @polo-drone-001) made his mark. Picking up a loose puck in the neutral zone, he powered past two defenders and ripped a wrist shot over Magnus’s glove, extending the Gold lead to 4–2. Ezan skated to the bench with a confident grin, bumping fists with Herc.

Briar’s Moment

With just over six minutes left, the Pachy Pack launched a ferocious push, determined to claw their way back into the game. Viktor Makarov (#21) thundered down the ice, barreling toward Daniel (#16) with Devlin Quinn (#8) flanking him. It looked like a guaranteed goal.

But Briar (#50) read the play perfectly. As Viktor tried to drive to the crease, Briar stepped into his path and delivered a bone-crunching check, sending Viktor sprawling to the ice. The crowd erupted as Briar scooped up the loose puck and cleared it out of the zone.

“Atta boy, Briar!” Herc shouted, skating by and giving him a hard stick tap. The play killed the Packy Pack’s momentum and drew chants of “Briar! Briar!” from the Gold fans.

Grayden Seals the Deal

With less than five minutes remaining, Grayden delivered the dagger. Breaking free from Sloan’s shadow, he dekes past two Packy defenders, pulls Magnus out of position, and roofs the puck into the net. The crowd erupted as Grayden celebrated, pointing to Herc and Xavier on the bench in acknowledgment of their leadership and support.

Sloan, furious and embarrassed, took another penalty for slashing Grayden after the goal, effectively ending his night.

Daniel’s Final Save

The Pachy Pack mounted one last push, but Daniel was a wall in goal. In the final minute, Viktor blasted a slapshot from the blue line, but Daniel dove across the crease to make a spectacular glove save, preserving the 5–2 scoreline.

Post-Match Celebration: A Golden Playoff Victory

As the final buzzer sounded, the arena erupted in cheers, the Golden Army celebrating not just a hard-fought 5–2 victory, but a ticket to the playoffs. The Gold Team flooded the ice, their golden jerseys shimmering under the lights. This wasn’t just any win—it was the win that would send them to the Cup.

Herc (#9), the heart of the team, stood tall at the center of the celebration. His leadership had held the team together on and off the ice, pushing them to excel when it mattered most. “We’re goin’ to the Cup, lads!” Herc shouted, raising his stick to the roaring crowd.

Brock (#46) was swarmed by his teammates, his breakout performance earning him chants from the fans. Grayden (#84), one of the night’s stars, skated over to him and said, “You earned this, bruv. Proper legend tonight.” Grayden himself had overcome the relentless aggression of Sloan to deliver game-changing plays, his rivalry now firmly settled.

Xavier, still on crutches, joined the celebration, his voice hoarse from cheering all game. “Oi, lads! You smashed it out there!” he called, grinning as Herc pulled him into a one-armed hug.

Behind the scenes, Briar (#50), ever the strategist, had been pivotal in organizing the defensive plays that turned the tide. He had kept the team focused under the Packy Pack’s pressure, ensuring every moment on the ice counted. Herc caught his eye during the celebration, giving him an approving nod. “Solid work tonight, Briar. Couldn’t have done it without you.”

On the sidelines, Maximus as The Golden Knight and Leander as Dorado kept the energy alive, leading the fans in chants as they waved the Golden Army flag. “Oi, Gold’s goin’ to the playoffs!” Maximus bellowed, earning deafening cheers. Leander capped it off with a final playful face-off against the Packy mascot, sending the crowd into hysterics.

The Pachy Pack skated off defeated, their physical dominance undone by the Gold Team’s skill, strategy, and unshakable unity.

Back in the locker room, the celebration continued with cheers and popping champagne. Herc raised a bottle high. “To the Gold, and to the Cup! This is our year, lads!” The room erupted, every bro and drone united in one purpose: to bring the Cup home.

Sid isn’t scoring goals.

That’s nothing new; he’s gone through slumps his entire career, just like everyone else. He knows what to do to work his way out of them, can practically recite Sully’s speech word-for-word at this point: simplify, don’t force a pass, eyes on the net and stick on the ice and the puck will start going in again.

The last time his scoring woes were this closely scrutinized, though, was almost a decade ago. And honestly, considering who’s watching him now, Sid thinks he’d prefer another round of headlines questioning if maybe he’s a washed-up one-hit-wonder after all.

The bond specialists won’t leave.

Sid’s not going to pretend that he knows more about the science or biology or whatever it is behind bonds than people who study them for a living, but he does think that living with a bond should maybe give him a little more authority than he and Geno are currently being granted.

The specialists seem convinced that their matching lulls in production are because they’re spending too much time together on-ice, and the sharp dive after they were separated on the power play will regress to the mean eventually, once the bond accepts the distance.

The two separate units are performing just fine, that’s not the problem. But Sid’s not seeing an improvement in either his or Geno’s play, and Geno’s just as out of sorts about it.

The holiday break, and with it a few days away from the rink and the watchful eyes of the entire Penguins athletic training staff, can’t come soon enough.

Sid’s unease over the added scrutiny is bleeding into the bond, too. It’s making them both clumsy on the ice, and it’s coming to a forefront during the Kings game. Geno clutches up on his stick on his shifts, passing when he should shoot and shooting when he should pass. Sid loses track of his wingers and sends the puck hurling over to the other team so many times in the first period that he switches sticks partway through.

It comes to a head when they’re caught out on the ice at the same time during a shift change. Sid always knows where Geno is now, that’s no different, but he doesn’t want to give the specialists an excuse to say that the proximity is negatively impacting their play, so he directs all his energy onto the puck until they can change lines. He can feel Geno doing the same, pulling back from the bond until the echoing chasm between them is loud in Sid’s head, louder than the crowd and the sounds of the game.

He maybe should have predicted that would backfire, which it does in spectacular fashion when Geno crashes into him and sends him sprawling to the ice.

Fuck, reverberates through the bond as Sid lumbers back to his feet, Geno wincing at him and just barely stopping himself from reaching up to touch his own mouth in echoed pain.

Sid can practically hear the specialists up in the press box taking furious notes as he skates to the bench to get checked out.

He knows why they ran into each other. They’re trying so hard to prove that the bond isn’t an issue that it’s having the opposite effect; all that effort spent on trying to ignore it keeps it front of mind.

But after the game, when he tries to argue that point, tries to explain that if they just did what felt natural to them things would improve, he and Geno are both overruled. The fact that Geno got himself a goal, as ugly as it was, only gives the specialists more proof for their point.

Science says that distance is better, no matter what Sid’s experiences out on the ice are saying.

He and Geno exchange uneasy glances as they walk out of the trainer’s room.

Quintessivore

[The quintessivore is a weird monster in a number of ways. For one thing, its PF2e category is "beast", when both its bizarre anatomy and unusual diet would make it seem to be a shoo-in for aberration status. Although maybe that's a result of the art; those proportions and placements of the limbs are truly bizarre, and I'm not sure if that was the original intent. For another thing, the Bestiary 3 entry is mostly taken up with explaining what quintessence is for readers not immersed in PF lore, leaving the actual flavor text for the monster rather thin on the ground. So I had room to expand, and to explain some things that the original entry leaves without comment.]

Quintessivore CR 10 NE Aberration This creature has a head like a deep-sea fish, with pointed teeth and beady eyes. It has four many-jointed limbs—two of them ending in three-fingered claws, and two of them ending in bladed appendages. Its color is a sickly gray, and its body is studded with short spines, ridges and strings of fibrous material.

Quintessivores are strange creatures that feed on quintessence, the raw material of souls and the Outer Planes. They are roughly spider-like in proportion, having long limbs holding up a relatively small body. Their exoskeletons constantly slough off strands of tough fiber, similar in texture to silk but greasier. Quintessivores cannot weave webs as true spiders can, but use their silk as if it were paper, recording their spellbooks and other writings on their secretions. 

A quintessivore on one of the Outer Planes is often docile and talkative, as they have access to effectively infinite food. On the Material Plane, however, they stalk mortal beings in order to strip their souls and consume them slowly. While feeding on a soul, the quintessivore’s blade legs are faintly luminous, and patterns resembling waves, whorls and loops appear and disappear along their length. The process of feeding on a soul empowers their magical abilities, and souls that are more powerful grant longer lasting boons.

Quintessivores are despised by almost all outsiders, as their diet is soul-stuff itself. Psychopomps especially seek to eliminate quintessivores, and these aberrations typically flee from even rumors of psychopomp activity. On the other hand, daemons are rather fond of them, as their feeding reduces the net quintessence in existence, inexorably bringing the end of all things closer. Daemons still by no means respect these mortal creatures, and both the quintessivore and the daemon typically think of themselves as the superior partner in any allegiances unless the power differential between the two is obvious.

Special Abilities Feed (Su) By spending 1 hour with a helpless living creature, or a formerly living creature no more than 2 hours dead, a quintessivore can consume its quintessence, keeping it from reaching the afterlife. A creature fed on in such a way cannot be returned from the dead, unless its soul is freed from the quintessivore by killing the creature. A quintessivore retains the soul bound to it for 1 day per HD of its victim, during which time it gains a +1 on all spell save DCs, and may prepare an additional spell of each spell level. Once this time is elapsed, the victim’s soul is gone forever. A quintessivore can only have one soul bound to it at a time. Spells A quintessivore can prepare and cast spells as a 10th level generalist wizard. It does not gain other benefits of the wizard class, such as a specialty school or arcane bond, unless it takes levels in the wizard class. Suspend Life (Su) As an immediate action, a quintessivore can suspend the life processes of a dying creature within 15 feet. A creature so affected must succeed a DC 21 Fortitude save or be unable to gain or lose hit points for 1 hour. During that time, if the creature receives magical healing, it can attempt another DC 21 Fortitude save to break the effect. The save DC is Charisma based, and includes a +2 racial bonus.

Eleinomae

Known as marsh nymphs, eleinomae are quite cruel fey. Despite their moniker, they are often found in rivers and similar bodies of water as well as marshes. They are quite a bit more dangerous than the naiads that they share an environment type with, able to bond with larger bodies of water than naiads, and will bully their weaker sisters when they have the opportunity. They will also use the reputation of naiads as more benevolent and friendly to prey on further victims, luring in those who don't recognize the different kinds of fey. Using illusions and charms, they seduce travellers and lead them to their death, working with natural creatures, drawing the victim into water deeper and rougher than they can handle, or using their knives if they must to ensure that their new toy is added to their collection.

Most eleinomae have a graveyard of sorts, a place where the many bodies they've collected float among fields of water lilies. These bodies are the eleinomae's favorites, those who were an entertaining capture, or were particularly beautiful. any of them? all of them? i have one fic with like actual words written, everything else is percolating in my mind. i have a decent track record of finishing stuff i start...but starting is difficult. i'm trying to work on that tho!! i really love writing and every time i sweet talk myself into it i'm like omg why don't we do this more often. baby cue would be horrified at how little i write.

16. What are your writing strengths?

making people cry. at the ripe-old age of 7 i decided the best writing was the kind that elicited a physical reaction, which to me was either tears or laughter and i don't think i'm funny. so bringing the pain it was.

and dialogue. i'm super picky about my dialogue and i act out convos + read exchanges out loud. i worry sometimes that i like have too many "blah blah bla-" type lines, but like when people are arguing, nobody is getting out full sentences lmao. there's a balance to it, for sure tho

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

setting/description. i have the worst White Room Syndrome ever i fear. like, okay, so writing for me typically feels like i'm watching something play out and just recording what i see, and uh what i see is usually characters interacting. sometimes they're interacting with their environment but ehhhhh. so i have to make a conscious effort to have my writing not be talking heads interspersed with chekhov's guns

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

i don't do it. too paranoid about it being wrong. i don't mind it when someone else does it, but if i was going to do it foreign language dialogue would probably be written like "<This is not English>." with a note at the beginning that dialogue in <> is X language.

Bears Defeat #21 Virginia Tech In Extras

Also Beat Illinois State, Continue Domination at Littlewood Classic

PHOENIX – The California softball team made it seven straight victories with a thrilling 6-5 extra innings win over No. 21 Virginia Tech and a 5-2 beat down of Illinois State on Saturday at the Littlewood Classic.

The Golden Bears (9-1) used a 4-hit day from Elon Butler and a 3-run homer from Kyndal Todd to record their best start to the season since winning the first 12 games in 2018.

Game 1: Cal 6, No. 21 Virginia Tech 5 (8) The Bears rallied with two down in the first to take the early lead. Tatum Anzaldo drew a leadoff walk and scored when Acacia Anders doubled to center with two strikes. Butler quickly made it 2-0 with a laser off the wall in left to plate Anders.

Virginia Tech rallied back in the third with four runs on two hits. Starter Haylei Archer battled through the first two Hokie innings, but a single and a walk put two on with one out as Cal went to Randi Roelling out of the bullpen. Another walk loaded the bases and Rachel Castine hit a grand slam to make it 4-2.

Cal quickly had an answer in the fourth to knot things right back up. Anders took a free pass to start the inning and Butler launched a 1-0 pitch off the netting in left field for her fourth homer of the season.

Roelling settled in after the home run, scattering a single and a pair of walks through the end of the fifth. Cal's offense fell silent after the Butler home run, drawing just a pair of walks and a hit by pitch off of starter Lyndsey Grein and reliever Emma Mazzarone through the top of the seventh.

Starting the eighth inning with the International Tiebreaker and Mika Lee on second base, the Bears manufactured a run. Kaylee Pond put down a sacrifice bunt to move Lee to third, and after a groundout Butler doubled down the right field line for her third hit of the game to score Lee. Cal added another run when Butler raced home on a dropped third strike.

Leading 6-4, Roelling got a groundout, RBI sacrifice fly and a pop out to end the game and secure her third win of the season. She went 5.2 innings while allowing just two earned runs.

Game 2: Cal 5, Illinois State 2 Scoreless until the fifth, Cal's bats finally broke out thanks to Tianna Bell. The sophomore crushed her first home run of the season, a blast to left field as Cal took a 1-0 lead.

Anna Reimers was effective for the Bears in the circle, allowing just one hit, a bloop single, until the sixth inning. The Redbirds got their own bats going in that frame using a pair of hits and a couple Cal errors to take a 2-1 advantage.

The lead was short-lived as Pond went opposite field to even the game right back up with a solo shot. Tied 2-2 heading to the seventh, Cal reliever Ashanti McDade set the Illinois State hitters down in order to give the Bears a chance to walk it off in the bottom half.   

The Bears did just that when Todd launched a 2-2 pitch way over the fence in center for her first-career home run.

1. “good cop” vs “bad cop”

okay so first we need to look at how calzona were raised - arizona in an overly strict household with lots of expectations and rules and presumably discipline (and it’s not just the colonel bc he wasn’t around all the time so babs was also part of it)

callie conversely in a far less regulated environment where there are some expectations but pretty much callie can do as she pleases and she gets support from her dad in everything - the fact that callie was seemingly just “exploring” post undergrad and eventually joining the peace corps is good evidence of this - callie’s expected on some level to be successful but she has a major safety net (spoiled brat affectionate)

so to answer the question - arizona good cop callie bad cop

they’re both reacting in the opposite to their own childhoods. arizona doesn’t want her kid to fear her and while she’ll create rules and guidelines and not be totally let them be wild, she just doesn’t have it in her to be like her parents

callie on the other hand feels like she was given too much leeway and was too spoiled as a child so she goes the opposite direction

although admittedly arizonas the way scarier one of the two bc it’s very rare that she’s actually mad

2. snoring

low key probably callie but she’s in extreme denial about it

arizona eventually loses it and goes and wakes mark up and drags him in and tells him to fix it and she’s sleeping on the couch until callie stops snoring

(but also calzona who both snore and neither thinks they’re the one snoring)

3. racy pictures post divorce

honestly both of them. they both have pictures and videos hidden deep in folders and feel varying degrees of guilt about it

callie is more likely to look at them though and then she feels weird bc she’s in a relationship but she feels way more into the old pictures of arizona than penny

arizona feels very odd about a lot of them bc they’re all pre plane crash and it’s almost like seeing another person

(ask me about the penny finds a calzona sex tape hc!)

4. saying their ex’s name post divorce

as a general rule i’d say callie but also something tells me arizona was way better in bed than penny lol

arizona ofc seems to exclusively date women who in one way or another vaguely resemble callie so maybe easier to make that mistake

5. admit they’re wrong

neither of them and it’s a nightmare

like they’re both super stubborn and won’t back down and they’ll just argue in circles until they’re hoarse

eventually one of them will get worn down and tired and back off a bit

arizona won’t admit she’s wrong but she will sort of like take responsibility to end things

callie will just say she’s tired of fighting and it’s dumb but also not admitting she’s wrong

6. cuddle post sex

probably arizona - she’s low key kinda touch starved in my opinion

but callie loves to cuddle and loves how arizona always curls up afterwards and wordlessly demands cuddles

callie is defs the big spoon most of the time and she’s sort of obsessed with it

7. forget their anniversary

arizona remembers so many random things and keeps track of all these details but she’s also sort of terrible about dates. like she’s missed her own birthday before.

callie kinda needles her about it when she realizes arizona has no idea why they’re going out to dinner and arizona almost cries bc callie’s being so sweet and she planned all these things and arizona just missed it

8. steal kisses

i mean canonically it’s arizona and i’d agree with that she’s just so delighted to kiss callie and be with callie

she loves sneaking up to ortho and surprising callie and callie’s kinda shy and blushy about it at first bc it’s all very new and she’s kinda self conscious about how everyone’s always aware of her relationships but soon she grows to love it and will seek arizona out herself

9. diy projects and failing at them

callie’s actually really handy - i mean she works with power tools and is out there building things but i think even before she went into ortho callie was handy. she liked ceramics and building little things. she can absolutely build the crap out of ikea furniture. arizona finds it incredibly hot

arizona on the other hand is not particularly handy or even arts and crafty. she understands the theory but then somehow it always goes horribly wrong. arizonas basically been banned from helping with science projects. she is a very good baker though and she and callie have teamed up to make epic birthday cakes

10. sex in a public place

callie but arizonas only like a half step behind her

calzona have 100% hooked up in the bathroom at joes and both of their offices and a variety of on call rooms and locker rooms and callie’s car and teddys apartment (teddy has no idea and they have no plans to tell her)

11. bdsm

arizona - she’s a bit more adventurous to start with but callie’s very into it and always willing to try something once

12. strip poker

arizona but it’s mainly bc callie actually knows how to play poker and arizonas trying to distract her

and like callies not gonna say no but she absolutely demolishes arizona and only has to take off her shirt which only serves to distract arizona
